Safina's calibration laboratories have successfully managed the transition to the new standard

We ended 2020 with a successful transition to the new standard ČSN EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2018, which reflects changes in market conditions and technology.

Auditors from ČIA (Czech Institute for Accreditation) and ČMI (Czech Metrology Institute) confirmed that we managed to apply all the requirements of the new standard to our system in the thermocouple production department.

“It is based on a risk assessment compared to the previous one. In Safina, we have been operating for a long time on the basis of other standards that work with a process approach, but the standard ČSN EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2018 helped us to develop processes, ” explains the head of the calibration laboratory.

What means that our calibration lab passed great. Judge for yourself, in the evaluation the auditors highlighted in particular:

● Our measurement system and system for evaluating the results of measuring TC fixed points (thermocouples).

● Perfectly implemented requirements of the standard into the system and functionality of the whole system.

● Automation of the entire process, which minimizes the risk of human error.

The calibration laboratory has been operating since 1990 and is in charge of testing and calibrating thermoelectric cells made of precious and pure metals. Its activities are accompanied by regular audits and accreditations. Thus, we have once again confirmed that our applied methods of measuring and evaluating thermocouples are at a very high level.

We thank the team of the calibration laboratory and our quality department.
